Establishing translation hubs across multiple cities provides opportunities for our early career researchers to develop local connections and collaborations. In Queensland, our postdoc Dr Morgan Sidari has worked with researchers in the Genetic Epidemiology and Psychiatric Genetics laboratories at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.

Dr Sidari presented her project investigating the genetic relationship between anorexia nervosa and other psychiatric traits at the World Congress of Psychiatric Genetics (WCPG) in Florence, Italy. Morgan's poster presentation was a winner of the WCPG 2022 Early Career Investigator Program. She continues to collaborate with QIMR Berghofer to achieve their shared goal of establishing an ARFID cohort in Australia.
